Team Envy kicks off Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 2 competition on July 5

 

 DALLAS (July 2, 2018) – Envy Gaming, the parent company of esports group Team Envy and owners of the Dallas Fuel franchise in the Overwatch League, announce a return to Overwatch Contenders. The organization has signed five former EnVision Esports players – Casey “Buds” McIlwaine, William “Crimzo” Hernandez, Anthony “Fire” King, Bryan “iShiny” McCarthy and Caleb “McGravy” McGarvey – and announced the return of Ronnie “Talespin” DuPree to round out the Team Envy Overwatch Contenders roster. Talespin previously played with Team Envy in 2016.

Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 2: North America gets underway on July 3. Team Envy will face the Skyfoxes in the team’s first Overwatch Contenders match of the season on Thursday, July 5 at 7:45 p.m. CT.

 

Team Envy is one of the most successful competitive Overwatch organizations of all time, having won Overwatch Contenders 2017 Season 1 as well as major championships in APEX Season 1 and at MLG Vegas in 2016.
